Ready-to-Move Property in Dubai
By LE Properties editorial team · Updated
A completed property lets you assess the finished apartment and its building. Ready-to-move requires an additional check: the home must also be available for possession on the terms agreed with the seller.
Confirm current availability, pricing and occupancy with the team.
Confirm vacancy and possession
A completed home can still be tenanted or occupied. Ask for the current occupancy status and written possession arrangements before making moving plans. Completion status in a listing is not proof of vacant possession.
Inspect the unit and shared areas
Check air conditioning, plumbing, finishes and signs of wear. Review parking, lifts and common areas, and ask about planned maintenance. Arrange a suitable inspection and record repairs or conditions that need to be addressed.
Check ownership and ongoing costs
Review the property documents and ask for current service charges and any outstanding obligations. Request an itemised purchase-cost estimate and confirm the transfer process with the relevant professionals. If financing is needed, establish what approval and valuation remain outstanding.
Use evidence for rental expectations
Compare similar homes in the same building or immediate area. Allow for vacancy, maintenance and management expenses. Existing occupancy, an asking rent and a future rental forecast are different facts; ask which one supports any income projection.
Questions buyers ask
- Does ready property mean I can move in immediately?
- No. A completed property may be occupied. Confirm vacancy, transfer timing and agreed possession terms for the specific unit.
- Can I inspect a ready apartment before buying?
- Ask the agent to arrange access with the owner or occupier. Inspect the actual apartment and relevant common areas, and consider an independent condition assessment.
